In 1822 famed marine engine manufacturer James P. Allaire purchased a tract of land in southern Monmouth County, New Jersey as a source of raw materials for his thriving New York based business. Then called the Howell Works Company, that property is known today as The Historic Village at Allaire, a living history museum dedicated to the life and times of James Allaire and the preservation of his memory.

Monmouth-Ocean Development Council is an organization of professionals dedicated to enhancing the quality of life and business environment through advocacy, collaboration, and education.

The Monmouth County Arts Council is a private, non-profit organization that is the official arts agency for Monmouth County. The council is an umbrella organization of more than 70 member groups, hundreds of individual and family members and a host of business arts partners.

The Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore serves approximately 18,000 girls between the ages of 5 and 17, supported by 6,000 adult volunteers in Monmouth and Ocean counties. The girls are divided into age-appropriate troops and participate in many programs, activities and trips offered by the council. These activities are designed to build courage, confidence and character as the girls grow to become the leaders of tomorrow.

The FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties links those with extra food with those with insufficient food. Last year the FoodBank distributed food to over 200 charities in the two counties.

The Northern Monmouth Chamber of Commerce has been serving it's members for over 45 years. We are a resource for people looking to travel to the Bayshore Region of the world-famous Jersey Shore. We are also a community of local business people who value the power of connections and relationships built through networking and volunteerism.

The Monmouth County Planning Board (MCPB) is an active, results-oriented organization whose overall goals are to influence the process of growth and change in the County so that it works for all citizens and to safeguard the heritage of the County’s current and future generations by encouraging the preservation of our natural landscapes and other valued resources and by promoting excellence in township design.

HABcore Inc., is a not-for-profit corporation serving Monmouth and adjacent counties in New Jersey. HABcore, Inc. is devoted to providing permanent and transitional supportive housing in a family setting to low income persons who are homeless, disabled, or unable to care for themselves while affording them lives of dignity and meaning.

The Deal Lake Commission was created by the seven Monmouth County, NJ towns that surround Deal Lake. The Commission was chartered in 1974 by the Borough of Allenhurst, City of Asbury Park, Borough of Deal, Borough of Interlaken, Village of Loch Arbour, Neptune Township, and Ocean Township.
